As a new community space, the Native Sovereignty Center serves as a power-building location and place to come together, offering a full meeting space, a coffee bar, and an open-door policy for people to come by and learn about the Native community in Cincinnati.

learn, engage, indigenize

The Native Sovereignty Center is our more than our offices, it houses the Indigenous lending library, which provides people a chance to enjoy and check out books and stories that feature Native cultures and authors from around the world.

Welcome

  • At the Native Sovereignty Center, education is a cornerstone of our work, offering a wide array of resources and programs designed to deepen our connections as Indigenous Peoples. Central to our educational offerings is the Indigenous Pages Lending Library, which provides access to a vast collection of books and stories featuring Native authors and themes. Additionally, we host many educational programs that include workshops, Native crafts and arts, as well as cultural celebrations that highlight the vibrant traditions of various Indigenous communities. With ongoing plans to expand our offerings, your support ensures that we can continue to provide these valuable educational opportunities to both the Native community and the broader public. By contributing, you help foster an environment of learning and cultural enrichment that benefits everyone.

  • As a beacon of cultural preservation and empowerment, the Native Sovereignty Center supports UNC’s visibility and recognition of Indigenous traditions and practices. Your support enables us to continue these efforts, providing a platform where Indigenous voices can be heard and respected. We partner with Tribal Nations and national coalitions to bring critical issues to the forefront. Through your donations, we can sustain programs that celebrate the diversity of Indigenous cultures and work towards greater cultural understanding and respect in the broader community.

  • The Native Sovereignty Center serves as a crucial support network for over 31,000 Native & Indigenous individuals in the Cincinnati metro area, offering a welcoming space for community gathering and cultural exchange. Supporting this center means bolstering a community hub where Indigenous peoples can connect with their roots and where a sense of camaraderie and belonging is nurtured. We work to ensure it remains a place of peace and connection for the Indigenous population and our allies.
